Biomedical Engineering Excellence Cluster of Poznan University of Technology

The Biomedical Engineering Excellence Cluster of Poznan University of Technology was established in April 2023 as a platform to bring together the activities of Poznan University of Technology employees conducting interdisciplinary scientific research in the field of Biomedical Engineering. Currently, the Cluster has 29 members from 7 Faculties of Poznan University of Technology.

The main objective of the Cluster is to expand and coordinate the activities of PUT scientists conducting interdisciplinary research in the field of biomedical engineering and creating innovative technologies for the medical sector.

 

Coordination and support activities performed by members of the Cluster contribute to increasing the efficiency of fundraising for research activities, improving the exchange of knowledge between research teams, elaborate cooperation mechanisms by common preparation of action plans and strategies for development innovations in the priority research area.

 

The main activities of the Cluster members include preparing grant applications and obtaining funds for scientific research, developing innovative solutions and technologies for the medical industry and supporting medical personnel, as well as conducting research work in cooperation with other scientific and research centers and enterprises from domestic and foreign countries.

 

The goals of the Cluster's activities also include strengthening the research and innovation potential in biomedical engineering in the Wielkopolska (Great Poland) region, through the creation of a network of cooperation and collaboration between Cluster members and industrial partners, supporting innovation and stimulating innovative solutions in the field of biomedical engineering, as well as their implementation and commercialization in both enterprises and medical institutions.
